Welcome to Buen Pastor
Buen Pastor is a loving and magical place located in Central Mexico in the city of Guanajuato. It is a convent run by six sisters. Buen Pastor has been providing a number of services and programs to the community of Guanajuato for over 105 years. The sisters, or "madres" as they are called, follow the example set by Saint Mary Euphrasia Pelletier, the patron saint of Buen Pastor. Santa Euphrasia believed “One person is of more value than a world.” Through shepherding women and girls through times of crisis and hardship, the madres of Buen Pastor manifest this ideal every day.
Buen Pastor runs a number of programs including:
1. A shelter for women and their children
2. A foster care for girls
