- Water: Free, provided by the Municipality
- Electricity: $12,500 (electricity bills are crippling in Mexico)

School
The secundarias must pay a $600 inscription fee at the start of every school year and then a monthly $600 for school tuition. Their tuition provides teachers salaries, administrative salaries, and school equipment and maintenance.
Both secundarias and primarias much buy school uniforms and sport uniforms. Uniforms cost $1500 each and include:
The cost to send a primaria to school is the cost of her uniform, $1500. When people sponsor a primaria, Buen Pastor puts that sponsorship towards her living expenses.
Through a government program, books are free. The girls' families are expected to buy school supplies (pens, pencils, markers, scissors, glue, paper, kleenex) and backpacks, but this often does not happen.
